Windows VISTA / 7

Post by RayThom »

I have a Toshiba laptop (64-bit) in great condition, running VISTA/7. It runs quite nicely in Safe Mode -- limitedly, of course -- but the BIOS is corrupted making a clean reboot impossible. I keep getting the instructions to run the CD, and that's the rub. I don't have it.

So I go online for the Microsoft VISTA/7 download using the original product code but I get the message that it's now unsupported -- which everyone knows by now. Yes, I could purchase a Win/10 CD and totally upgrade the system but that's an expense I want to avoid. Does anyone own (or know someone who does) an old, VISTA (or better) boot CD that they can part with? If so, I'll gladly remit the price of postage and a few dollar$ extra for their trouble, if you would send it to me. Anybody?

If so, please PM me for the details. Thank you.

I have the Windows 7 "upgrade" from Vista on DVD. Do you think that would work?
