Here is a YouTube video of the moment.

The hangar, in need of serious renovation, was donated by Textron after Cessna and Beechcraft merged. It was formerly used by the Cessna Employees Flying Club, of which I was a member. The Textron flying club is hangared across town at Beech field.

It is widely reported that Walter Beech and Clyde Cessna, often bitter rivals, are rolling over in their graves.
A friend of Doc's, one of only two B-29 bombers still flying.

That new hangar appears to be in great shape. What does it need -- a new roof?

Seriously, Ray?

I read that quote as "Textron donated a dilapidated hanger that needed significant repairs and improvement, and the 'Friends of DOC' group put it to rights again."  I don't think the original hanger door had a cutout that was just the right size to pass the vertical stabilizer of a B-29, f'rinstance (MG could tell us for sure, of course).

C'mon, Ray, you're being deliberately obtuse.  Although after this many years of reading your posts, I should probably be more concerned if you weren't.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

What? I don't know what you mean by that.
