Palins seeking a divorce

Post by ex-khobar Andy »

I take no pleasure in someone's unhappiness, especially after 31 years together. But when someone has been lecturing me on family values and her Christian faith and how she (and her family) morally outshine the rest of us, I find it difficult to feel a lot of sympathy for her.

I hope she finds solace. As governor of Alaska for a couple of years she was actually effective in a Republican sort of way.

After all the sanctimonious bullshit she has spewed, and all the hateful things she's said about people on the other side of the aisle, there is no suffering she could endure that I wouldn't experience Schadenfreude over.

She'll be banging some disgusting right wing kleptocrat any day now, if she isn't already. She has an established history of fucking around on Todd, which is probably why he's finally filed for divorce.

I just wish she and her mostly trashy family would stop being in the news at all, ever.

I always wonder about people who seek to divorce after decades of marriage; it makes me ask whether they have reached some epiphany about the reality of their life together after being completely clueless for so long, or if one or both is having a midlife crisis.

Trig, Bristol, Piper, Track and Willow
I'd have filed at "Track"
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

How is this news for other than to haters who are disappointed she doesn’t have cancer? It is not like divorce is a rare thing in this country.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

It's very similar to making fun of our Grifter-in-Chief's three marriages and all his ensuing extramarital affairs.

Remember when Melania was pregnant with Baron and her philandering spouse was out fucking porn stars?

C'mon, lib, get with the program.

Because the Republican party still touts the "sanctity of marriage" as part of their platform. Not that they actually follow what they preach.

Lib--ordinarily, I couldn't care less. But when you put your morals front and center and preach to me how I am wrong and/or immoral, then you should at least try to practice what you preach.

What dat said:

:ok :ok :ok :ok

See also Kim Davis, the four times married county clerk in Kentucky who refused to grant marriage licenses for gay couples on the grounds that her Christian faith required her to uphold the sanctity of marriage.

Davis was quoted as saying:
I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God's definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience.
Davis has been married four times. She switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican party after her initial decision to refuse to issue licenses for gay marriages. She has been required by the courts personally to repay $220,000 in legal costs for the couple who challenged her decision.

Not that it would matter to her, but Jesus never spoke a single word about homosexuality. He did speak about divorce, though (he was agin it).

It's the economy hypocrisy, stupid. They didn't call her "Bible Spice" for nothing.

Marriage is sacred, but people are weak and it doesn’t help that we live in a liberal culture that considers one a fool and a loser if one doesn’t fuck around. And there are men that go out of their way to seduce married women.

That was a fun way for liberals to do their socialist duty during Vietnam. Seducing a soldier’s wife not only was fun but could lead to a Dear John letter and a dead baby burner in Vietnam. Low morale kills.

You honestly believe that?    :loon :loon :loon :loon

Well, to be fair, maybe it was just my SDS cell that didn't teach treasonous seduction; somehow I doubt it though.

Why lib, I'm surprised at you taking the "blame society" position...

How long have you been a liberal?

As a genuine conservative (unlike the faux variety of which there seems to be so much nowadays) I, on the other hand, am a great believer in personal responsibility...

So, when one engages in shameless serial philandering (as Donald Trump has done) I don't blame the "culture"...

I put the blame squarely on the shameless serial philanderer...

Lib, I'm curious about something...

If you cheated on your wife, and she found out about it, and you told her that you did it because you live in a "liberal culture that considers one a fool and a loser if one doesn’t fuck around"...

What do you think her reaction would be?

I can tell you that in my case, I am reasonably certain that my wife would not be overly sympathetic to that explanation...

To say the least... :?

ETA:

One more question lib...

If you think that's an acceptable excuse, then why do you keep slamming that other poor victim of the "liberal culture", Bill Clinton? Why don't you cut him the same slack for his serial philandering that you're willing to extend to Trump? Why do you want to hold him personally accountable, but not President Grab-em-by-the-pussy?

(For the record, I don't cut either of them any slack...)

Was it your wife who told you that the guys with whom she played find the cannoli while you were gone were socialists, or was that what you had to tell yourself in order to rationalize why she turned into a tramp?
