Aphorism heard many times; most recently I heard it credited as Turkish: Fear the ignorant man more than the lion.

Donald J. Trump is clearly the most ignorant president we have had since Herbert Hoover. I begin there because that is where my personal knowledge of USA presidents begins. HST at the time he came into the oval office was regarded as very ignorant. Perhaps he was. But he was not stupid. He learned quickly. DJT is both ignorant and amazingly stupid. He seems incapable of learning anything the least incongruent with his previously fixed views. He cannot observe logical or factiual contradictions within his own public statements, even when they occur in in consecutive sentences. He is firmly convinced of a magical view of the universe. That is, if he says it often enough, that makes it true. He only needs to say repeatedly--Fake! Hoax! and it is.

Heard on the car radio as a Congress-critter from Texas chastised the liberal socialists for wanting to impeach POTUS rather than grant the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to unborn children. Then he quoted the gospel of Luke: "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.." My jaw dropped that the next Dem speaker did not come back with the obvious: POTUS has given lots of data points establishing that he does not know what he is doing, and he has also proudly stated that he has never asked for forgiveness for anything.

As I said before, every single one of these feckless cowardly bastards deserves to go down to defeat; a post-Trump GOP political class will have to be built with almost entirely new blood. Not one of the craven, oath violating self-dealers I have seen speak today (and I haven't watched every minute; my stomach couldn't take it) deserves to have any role whatsoever in the future political life of this country...

Shame and disgrace upon all of them...

I agree that was excellent...

However it shouldn't have taken this long for somebody on the pro-Save The Republic side to point out the fact that the Dems voted down opening an Impeachment inquiry three times, (most recently this past summer) while the lyin' weasels on the pro-Monarchy side have all day been falsely claiming ( based on the comments of a handful of fringe representatives) that "the Democrats" have been trying to impeach Trump since before he was sworn in...
