When the press try to goad him into criticizing Trump, he makes his feelings known without directing a single word against the Cheeto-in-Chief or his actions, by pivoting to a "this is how it's done in Canada" response that provides a clear contrast to Trump's nutbar move of the day, while keeping Trudeau immunized against any accusation that he is lecturing the U.S. or meddling in its affairs.
