This is for the 95,000,000+ who’ve already voted, and the predicted 65,000,000+ more who will vote between now and close of polls Tuesday.

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Benefit concert in October, 2020, for Boogie Woogie musicians that can't get a gig (like most performing artists) in this time of Pandemic.

I love the Black Keys; this may not be one of their best songs, but the video is great:

got stuck on a reaction video kick on this one:

"Does any one know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours"

has to be on the short list of most brutal lyrics ever.

Just for the record, the Edmund Fitzgerald was not, as the lyrics claim, 'coming back from some mill in Wisconsin.'  She began her final voyage after taking on a load of taconite pellets, a refined version of iron ore, from the Burlington Northern (formerly Great Northern) dock #1 in Alouette, WI (just south of Superior, WI).

This dock, although no longer in service, still stands watch over the lake yet today.

(dock #1, on the right, and dock #2 are shown here, along with the remnants of dismantled dock #3; dock #4, not visible in this picture, is located to the left of the foundation of dock #3, and its connection to the shore has been completely removed)

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

So it wasn't in Wisconsin then?

They have no Idea what the Cook did or did't say either. Artistic license was used.

(They were also bound for Zug Island not Cleveland)

Also in that list:

"And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters"

45 years later and I still can't listen to that song without crying.
"If you don't have a seat at the table, you're on the menu."
