News from my house. Nothing. Insurance still considering how much they want to pay to repair/rebuild. Doesn't look too bad in a single picture but there are four rooms like this, floors destroyed throughout and sub-floors needing replacement in many places. Damn that glitchy thermostat - dammit I say!

I would highly recommend a house-sitter for future travel of any length, especially in winter. If you're interested I can share some sites with you where you can find reliable, even bonded housesitters who will stay at your house while you are out of town/out of country and most of these services are gratis - you pay for utilities, but they feed themselves and there is no housesitting charge. Some people do this for a living - they travel from one housesitting assignment to another and that's how they see the country/world.

Oh I really miscounted. Thought there were two checks in the mail but upon further review . . . it was just one (which I got today $40 from BP). So I already stumped up the expected (but mythical) $40 that I thought was on its way but isn't. I blame mind-confusion, Covid induced.

So, can anyone else make a contribution so Margaretta does not kill me? She tolerated $40 from our shrinking account but $80 is a bride too bizarre
