it's all about their personal vendetta against ~Steve, which they can't let go even though he's apologized. They're hurting an old friend, which doesn't seem to matter so long as they can be cruel to a wounded man.
Okay, now
this I
am going to comment on... some reality reminders are in order:
First, there is
no one, (with the possible exception of Gwen, who's arrogance, threats, and shameless dishonesty directly resulted in the creation of Plan B) who has done more material damage to Gar and his efforts than Steve has.
Let's not pretend that all the damage and wrong that Steve has done is represented in this one single incident. That is
far from what the factual record indicates.
Steve has engaged in a long, ongoing and worsening pattern of behavior that comprises the number one reason that participation on both CSB boards has now been reduced to a trickle. He has done this through his lies about what other posters have said and done, his lies about what
he has said and done, his gratuitous attacks on other posters who dared to challenge or question him about anything, his bullying of inoffensive posters and his sneering attitude towards those who didn't agree with him.
He's done it with his deliberate out of the blue attempts to stir up drama and shit, ( that "polite question" troll thread is only the latest example; anyone interested in the quality of Gar's boards should have been jumping all over
Steve for that one; nobody else...I and others did) He's done it with his monomaniacal one note obsessions, and his attempts to turn nearly every thread into yet another platform for him to bloviate and pontificate endlessly about them. He's done it with his misogynist attacks, and he's done it with his jumping in to fan the flames of personal disputes that had nothing to do with him.
I'm sure I've left some aspects of his appalling behavior out...(it's like he had a check list written out of everything one could do to alienate people and drive them away, so he could be sure not to leave anything out)
....Oh yeah, on top of all of this he has the brass balled gall to try and piss and moan about how
he's somehow "the victim", (rather than "the perp" which is what he indisputably is) and pushes the shameless lie that he's somehow been "targeted" for no reason at all except the pleasure of unreasoning, "target seeking sadists", rather than as a result of his own toxic, disgusting behavior. (Which is of course the truth)
And now recently, as if all this weren't enough, not content with having fouled the nest to such a point that almost no one wants to participate in a forum where he roams, he's attempted to enlist the help of Gar himself to get rid of the few posters left who have refused to be driven off by his antics.
It didn't start out this way. Before Steve descended down this spiral of viciousness, delusion and paranoia, he was one of the most universally liked posters at the CSB. When he first started down this road, many people, (myself included) tried to get him to turn back and come in off the ledge. But one by one we all gave up on him, until today the only ones who he has left who want anything to do with him are the ones who were standing on the street yelling, "Jump! Jump!" people who, in his current condition of mental deterioration he believes to be his friends, but who really did nothing but contribute to the sorry state he is in.
The only other folks who will have anything to do with him are a couple of other people who decided to travel down the same friendship ending, reputation destroying, and credibility shredding path of trolling, obsession, and dishonesty that he did. It's not a path anyone should wish to take.
