I can't remember where I saw someone making the point, that even if a car is being aimed at an LEO, shooting the driver is not going to save their life, because the car will still be coming at them regardless, except completely out of control because, you know, dead driver at the wheel. So the only useful move is to just get the fuck out of the path of the car.

Joe Guy, thank you for giving us this video connection. I saw similar material on the CBS national news, but here I can stop it and look carefully. This is the first time I have noted the bullet hole in the windshield. That is important. It indicates that shot was fired from the side, not in front of the vehicle. Two other shots were through the open driver's side window. The agent who fired the shots can be seen fumbling, perhaps stumbling, as he returns his pistol and the video recording device he is holding in each hand to their storage positions. Read some of the many comments from Massad Ayoob about the physiological process when a human is engaged in a sudden high threat situation. They lose a great deal of their peripheral vision and fine motor coordination, unless they have had alot of experience in such situations. For cops, that means firing hundreds of rounds of ammunition in high stress such as major competion with big prize money, or maybe their pay grade at risk, not a class room and then an hour or two on the range. One would expect him to have difficulties moving gracefully after such an experience. After he manages this -- WHAT THE HELL! He walks away, gets in his car and leaves. What procedure in any government organization lets the shooter leave without even a basic interview? Nobody took his pistol as evidence. Even the military requires an after-action report.

Nobody is above the law. I have a hard time typing that line without giggling, or perhaps crying for what our government has become. Because we, the sovereign people, have allowed it.

I saw him move away as if he had been bounced back; in a later scene, from the rear, he appeared to be limping. Unfortunately, I did not have my VDR set up to record that day.

But the larger issue is that they were in a state of war. Why do you think the agents are wearing masks? They’re doing it to protect their families from clandestine attacks, or perhaps kidnappings or murders, either by the Mexican cartels or their left‑wing allies. The left is fighting a low‑intensity insurgency, and in situations like that, the first casualty is always the truth; propaganda becomes dominant, and the truth becomes the first casualty.

I presume you're being facetious; I can't believe you think that. Police fight against criminal elements all day and do not resort to masks to hide their identities; ditto for real soldiers in real war zones. And FWIW, the right and the government, especially the CIA, are far more allied with the cartels than any left wing group in the US.

As a non-citizen who collects SS - it is entirely dependent on how much I paid in over my working life, how long I delayed claiming, etc. The same rules as any fully fledged citizen.
