Of course the obvious question is why anyone should give a flying fuck about John Lennon's political views one way or the other....

I've never understood the impulse some folks have to elevate the importance of the views of pop singers on matters political...

As though being a talented crooner or gifted song lyricist somehow imbues one with special insight into geo-politics or moral philosophy....

The prospect of Lennon becoming a Republican obviously had you pre-cumming, since you were ready to believe anything that said it no matter how suspect (just as you have fallen for it on previous occasions).
