A love struck primary school teacher who opted for a simple proposal outside an airport was unaware the whole thing was being broadcast on live television.
The groom-to-be Josh Mullin could be seen on camera chatting to his girlfriend Ashlee Baldwin as news reporter Brenda Washington filmed a report for Kansas City TV station, KMBC.
But as Washington spoke with the studio, the man reached into his pocket and got down on one knee to pop the question.
Baldwin could then be heard yelping with delight as she accepted the engagement ring, alerting the broadcast team to what they had just captured.
interrupting her report on healthy eating, Washington called the shocked, newly engaged pair over for an on-the-spot interview asking them if it was 'for real'.
The excited 20 -year-old replied: 'It’s for real'.
