JOE GUY. OH, THANK GOD

Post by RayThom »

It was "faulty brakes" on this brand new Porsche that your babe, Lindsey, was operating. As cynical as I can be I was absolutely positive that it was due to Lilo's addiction problems. How could I be so cold and uncaring to jump to such a conclusion? I am ashamed of myself. And I apologize to you, Joe. I'll try to do better after she's involved in next month's accident. Please tweet her my best. Thanks.

We're talking about a FILM, right?

LILo is going to pretend to be Liz Taylor, someone who made her living pretending to be other people. Doesn't seem like too great a challenge. The director will shoot every scene a couple hundred times, so the product will be the director's work anyway.

So what if she doesn't look exactly like Liz Taylor? It's a fucking film. Use your imagination. Suspend your disbelief.

Go for it, Lilo!

You will do well and everyone here will be upset for publicly predicting that you are not the right actress to play the part of Liz Taylor.

Apparently there are many people that think that an actress that currently has a few personal problems won't be able to play the part of a person who had more than a few personal problems.

People are strange.

For the record - Lilo is not currently living with me in a secret location in the Los Angeles hills.

That's just an unfounded rumor very likely started by RayTHom.

Ok, what secret location is she actually living with you at?

I think what Joe Guy calls a secret location is a padded room at the local mental health facility. Both could use one, I fear.

Because of HIPAA rules I can only say that she's living in my pad.

I hate to be the one to break this to you Joe, but apparently she's been sneaking out:
Lindsay Lohan unconscious in hotel room

Last week it was a car accident with an 18-wheeler. When will Lindsay Lohan’s luck run out? The actress was found unconscious in the penthouse of the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, Calif., on Friday morning and was evaluated by paramedics.

Word is she missed her early morning call time on the set of her upcoming flick Liz & Dick and studio execs panicked (with reason) when she didn’t answer the phone in her hotel room. So they sent over a production assistant who saw her in poor shape and called 911.

“Lindsay has been working a grueling schedule for the last couple of days,” her rep Steve Honig jumped to tell E! News. “Last night she worked from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. She was exhausted and went back to her room to sleep.

“Producers were apparently concerned and called the fire department and paramedics found her sleeping but determined that she was fine, just extremely exhausted and slightly dehydrated.”

Either that or Joe's a sex machine!

I'm sorry. Working overnight for two nights in a row would make you very tired, but isnt this just a case of hysteronics by the papers, or attention-seeking by Li-Lo?

Surely she was just sleeping and not unconscious?
Bah!

Lohan is woeful as Taylor from start to finish. But, whatever you do, don’t miss Liz & Dick. It’s an instant classic of unintentional hilarity. Drinking games were made for movies like this. And the best part is that it gets worse as it goes on, so in the right company with the right beverages, Liz & Dick could be unbearably hilarious toward the tail end of the 90-minute running time. By the time Lohan is playing mid-’80s Taylor and it looks like a lost Saturday Night Live skit, your body may be cramped by convulsions.

I'll decide on my own, but I've always enjoyed certain types of bad movies.

Especially the serious ones that aren't very good.

This one might turn out to be as good as Plan 9 from Outer Space.

She calls him “the Welsh Don Juan”
Well, Strop isn't going to like that....

Somebody stealing his nickname....(he gave it to himself, of course... :P )
She then tries to kill herself with booze and pills. If this starts to seem like a good idea to you, it’s time to switch the channel.
My, my, that is bad....

If that's the reaction Lohan's performance inspires, it reminds me of what is widely regarded as the worst audience reaction ever to a performance....

Pia Zedora playing Ann Frank, and the audience yelling "She's upstairs! She's upstairs!" when the Nazis show up....

Well that's disappointing...

It's such a wonderful story....(And for anyone who has seen Miss Zedora's acting it certainly has a ring of believability about it...)
