I was sure that I was done talking to you, but here I go again....

the point on the right side of my pelvis cracked, you can feel an 1/8 inck split if run your finger over it. a friend left a party on his bike to go home without telling us, he was too drunk to ride , so went to the rescue and went after him, we lived in the same apt complex a few miles away, well he must have taken a different route than me because I couldn t find him. the shortest route was down by the river, on Fitzwater street, past the lock and load bar, downtown browntown we called it back then...., not exactly safe, but it was before crack got bad and I had been traveling thru there for many years. anyway, I used to like to ride my bike fast, I had built it myself from three or four junkers, but quality junkers, it was fast. Fitzwater is lower down by the river, and I got up a crap load of speed and was coasting along the bottom after going down the decline, I must have dozed in the cool breeze, I started back awake, and was headed toward the truck, I tried to turn left but it was too late, my right pelvis hit the rear corner of the rig, I was hurt bad, I crawled under the trailer, drug my bike under and went to sleep. I was awoken by voices, two very nice black women had stopped their car and offered me help, I politely declined and said that I just needed to sleep, they reluctantly left me to it, it was deep into the night by then.

the next morning I walked my bike home, with great difficulty, never even told my mom or saw a doc.(she was really paying attention, huh?) a huge bruise formed between my pelvic point and my Johnson, right over my appendix scar, funny that s where the deer tick got me too, anyway, after a while my right testicle sack turned black, I suppose that the blood from the bruise had drained down there, it eventually went away, but it took a while. my pelvic point still causes me pain about once every couple years when I try to shift a heavy weight in a certain way, sideways it seems, the split seems to slightly re fracture or something, but it heals after a week or two...

while I don t think this has anything to do with you being drunk, the elitism thing has a ring of truth, as you yourself have admitted

thank god my buddy brought me some weed last night, now i can get some chores done. it doesn t help the pain all that much, but it makes it much easier to deal with.

my daughter and her mom got home last night just as i was spilling my guts about this crap, and i was pretty angry at you LJ, and she asked me what was wrong, so i explained to her that i had been telling about some of my problems and faults because i thought i might help someone by doing so, and some one had called me a liar, she just shook her head at you LJ.

and really, why the blank would i make this crap up? do you think i want your PIty? please. blank your pity.
the only reason i told you any of this is because i figured that it is possible that someone here, or a guest here, or one of our kids being nosy stumble across this might hear my story, learn from my errors, and not repeat them

my god, I haven t even told you about any of the many injuries, permanant injuries, that I sustained in fights. or the time the two Hondurans jumped me at work, after they thought they had learned the job enough to get rid of me thru intimidation. I was the one who inflicted the damage that day. once I finally got my nuts loose from a really nasty Honduran ex- policemen, he used to tell me about the Honduran police, scary, I grabbed a steel round rod and I inflicted the permanant injury to him, I bet that he still limps when its cold, sorry about that Mario....

you see the people and problems in Baltimore and and ferguson LJ. it s not just in major cities, it s in bad neighborhoods all over the country.its a tough life LJ. it s a rat race LJ, and the rats are winning. as my boss up in MA used to say....

This is definitive proof of what I've long suspected, LJ - you have absolutely no idea how millions upon millions of Americans are living all around you in your upper middle class bubble, which is why you are always drunk on the Republican koolaid.

Millions upon millions of USians each have 57 varieties of major bodily damage? LJ has, I suspect, uttered doubts that others only thought. Whether one should utter or not is another matter. I certainly didn't (and wouldn't).

Actually, though, I tend to give anyone (except Nigerian millionaires) the benefit of the doubt and accept that they are who they say they are until I have a good reason to think otherwise...and the way wes found his way here (originally from the Car Talk site, and then through Le Chat House, and then here) makes me doubt that that he's a sock puppet of anyone we've met before. As for whether he's exaggerated anything...I dunno, but it really doesn't make any difference--unless or until it does make a difference. I find it much easier just to assume he's telling the truth.

As for the rest, like Econo I always give people the benefit of the doubt, until they prove I shouldn't by their words or deeds. And then I usually give them at least one more chance, too.

I did not mean that millions of americans have 57 different maladies.

I meant that they have problems that make mine look easy. down the road there is champ, he came back from Vietnam with something wrong with his head. he stands out by the liquor store, nice guy , every one likes him, he knows that he is fucked in the head, but he carries on. he just stands there with his beer. watching and sometimes talking to people he has known forever as they come and go. he drools and he talks real slow, not so bright anymore, but he knows what s going on and all, he s just fucked.

the lady next door, about 65 I guess, real nice, no angel tho (eta-now that I think about it she may be an angel, she rents rooms out to a bunch of people who might be in much worse situations if she did not). she has spinal stenosis. she is in a ton of pain and is addicted to meds, they don t always last her all month and she is in horrible pain and withdrawal a lot.

a guy up the street is a hustler, he could sell yellow snow to nanuck. he had his own small carpentry business before he got too sick to work at that, he rents out a spot at the fleamarket now and has a few tattoists working under his license there. he has been addicted to pain meds for years, his old lady just died of cancer, she got all sorts of pain meds. he is broken up. I saw him the other day. he had purple spots all over his face and said his kidneys were fucked, his son said he finally got him to the doc, I saw him cutting grass yesterday so he must be a little better.

I don t know what s up with the older black guy across the street, he lives upstairs and his mom, a Christian lady , picks him up most days and takes him places. he often has a quart freezer bag full of meds with him....

man, I m lucky compared to some of these folks. not counting all of our poor choices, hard physical labor, over many years, takes it toll on a body, especially if you work hard enough to get ahead at work but are enough off a fuck up that you always shoot yourself in the foot.
