I suspect that Markle is someone who went into the marriage looking for a fight.

Does that make them wrong? I don’t know enough about this woman, Markle, to have a valid opinion about her, but I know this: Some people live and die for drama and attention. I think it is a sickness; it is something they crave, like drugs for some people. Does her history indicate she might be one of these people?Guinevere wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 11:29 pmShe is not my ideal, I don’t particularly care about her specifically. Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Is there anything of interest here that might make it worth my going back and reading it?
(Just asking.)

Isn't it racist and sexist to suggest our opinions are wrong, biased, or invalid due to our sex and skin colour?

A ridiculous assertion, even by your low standards.

Can you please give a couple of examples? Show us what you have observed. I've not followed the royal doings until that photo was published on the first page and have not observed any such hate.
None has been given in evidence here either. I am white and a man but fail to see why that makes my skepticism about the lady's interview automatically invalid. Would it be fair to say that women who believe her claims do so based only on their chromosomes?

So Harry has joined BetterUp, Inc. as Chief Impact Officer. BetterUp tells the rest of us how to run our businesses to get the best out of employees, to motivate them to greatest performance. (I'm translating to some extent what I get from their website where there are sentences like "Transform your ability to navigate change and be a daring leader. Discover how BetterUp can increase resilience, well-being, purpose, and belonging for you and your business." or "Laura is a Customer Service Lead. She had a pattern of taking the opportunities presented to her, rather than pursuing a more purposeful approach. Her Coach helped her realize what was missing: she wasn’t aligned with her values. Together, they did values exercises, worked on goal setting and communication skills, and identified the next steps for career growth." and I am doing my best to discern the meaning [if any] of such verbosity. I hate it when I am not aligned with my values.)
So they sell these skills to companies. I have to admit that it never occurred to me to make up a title and hire someone from outside who is totally unsuited and inexperienced and pay them $$$$. It really helps to motivate your own staff. They boast about their PhD psychiatrists but hey, why do the time to get a research degree and go through all that hassle and student loan shit when it's clear that to get a well paying super job you need (a) no discernible talent and (b) a good family?

Re: Meghan, Harry and Greta-not
Just what are the marriage traditions/options in England? There are many places where it is not at all like here in USofA. I can easily believe that they had a family gathering at home with various vows exchanged and witnessed, a separate activity in a church setting to comply with Church of England requirements for Royals, and yet another separate process to take care of legal details. Considering it all, there must have been a horrendous legal blizzard of paperwork for pre-nupt agreements. Any one of these could have been called a 'wedding'.

Psychiatrists are M.D.s; Psychologists get PhDs. I don't know if someone in either category converts from an essential worker to non-essential if they go to work for Betterup.

Let's ignore verifiable lies so as to swallow whatever unverifiable claims we want to believe.

Piers Morgan has confirmed reports that ITV bosses issued him with an ultimatum in the wake of his response to the Meghan Markle interview – to publicly apologise or leave Good Morning Britain.
Writing in the Mail on Sunday, the former GMB co-anchor diarised the chain of events which followed the interview between Oprah Winfrey and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
He revealed his regret at walking off set after a colourful exchange with colleague Alex Beresford, insisting “on reflection, I shouldn’t have done it,” and talks of supportive comments from Jeremy Clarkson, Bear Grylls and Sharon Osbourne among “more than 1,000 emails, texts and WhatsApp messages” following his departure from the morning show.
Morgan spoke of his concern the day after he had told viewers that he didn’t believe a word Meghan Markle had uttered in her bombshell interview, when ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall refused to defend him to reporters, instead offering her full support to the Duchess of Sussex.
“Oh s**t. This must be more serious than I thought,” wrote Morgan, who then revealed that Kevin Lygo, ITV’s Director of Television called him to issue the ultimatum: “We were now ‘on the cliff edge’ and either I apologised, or I would have to leave GMB.”
The broadcaster explains how after going for a walk to consider his options he thought: “F**k it, I wasn’t going to apologise for disbelieving Meghan Markle, because the truth is that I don’t believe Meghan Markle.”
He justified his decision by explaining that if he now told viewers he believed Meghan, he would be lying, “the very thing I’ve accused her of doing” and claimed the “woke brigade” would continue to hound him in the future for any comments he made which they found offensive – “which of course, is absolutely everything”.
In the aftermath of the interview when Morgan’s epic anti-Meghan rants attracted widespread press coverage, GMB hit a high of 1.89 million viewers, beating rival BBC Breakfast for the first time. But his exit led to an automatic drop in ratings, crashing down to 1.4 million the day after his departure.
Morgan doubled down on his comments a few days after the interview on social media, calling out the couple and their confidant Gayle King for leaking details of a private conversation between Prince Harry and his father Charles, a move Buckingham Palace sources called “a shocking breach of trust.”
“There’s a very deliberate and malicious campaign being perpetrated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to smear, defame and trash Britain, our Monarchy and the Royal Family as a bunch of heartless racists”, wrote Morgan.
“It’s disgusting,” he added and insisted it was now “time to stand up for our Queen.”
