So you are saying that private messages are not -- or should not be -- genuniely private?
I'm saying that PM's should not be used to insult, harass or intimdate members here, as that would be a blatant abuse of the facility.
Also, if claims (or counter claims) of such behaviour were to occur then the best way to deal with them would be to bring it out into the open for the membership to discern/debate themselves.
I don't see why "insult" is in there. If what I said to her is insulting, then people here insult each other all the time.
And as to this:
If you do not have the balls to say something to a member here openly, then don't say it, or try to grow a set?
I need merely point out that by making my postings invisible to her, she has chosen to make it impossible for me to say anything to her openly.
Anyway, as to harassing and intimidating people, I have no objection to the entire exchange's being posted here. Anyone sufficiently interested to read them (assuming that such a person exists) will see that I used no obscenities, made no threats, called her no bad names, etc.
(Unless you count my expressing my opinion of anyone's using the ignore/foe function (however exactly that works; I don't know, and I don't care) calling someone a bad name, in which case using such terms as "childish" -- let alone "cunt," which appears to be one of her favorites -- should also be
verboten.) Indeed, her own public description of a message she sent me -- "I told him to fuck off" -- is far more profane/obscene than anything in any of the messages I sent her.
But as far as I know, she has not given permission to the publication of the exchange. Therefore -- even though she has put the content of the PMs in issue by characterizing them in ways which I believe untruthful -- I will not post them now. Should she change her mind ....
Reason is valuable only when it performs against the wordless physical background of the universe.
