I'm probably one of the most liberal prosecutors you'd meet, and I don't fit in with the typical prosecutor mentality in Montana, and probably not nationwide, either.

However, I still take the opinion that one's right to privacy is overcome by the larger community's right to protection from harm, if one has absconded from custody at a pre-release facility (I'm assuming that's the US equivalent of 'open prison').

Presumably the individuals, once caught, will not be returned to an open prison setting . . . they wouldn't in the US.

Certainly refusing to disclose their identities will both limit the opportunities to apprehend, as well as entirely undermine the ability to warn the public of potential risk.
