And you would be leading (or perhaps better put, "trailing") the pack when it comes to "being slow"...

I was suggesting that he might have timed it deliberately out of cruelty.

Of course, that must be it...

Because as anyone knows who has dealt with American air travel in recent years, (or air travel in general) planes always leave precisely at their scheduled times, making it easy to time a text like that to match up exactly to when the plane was leaving...*

Many suicidal people are really just crying out for help. Don't know the circumstances here but something sounds fishy.
