Been there, done it, still got the bedroom door screws.
Both of you need some lessons in DIY.
One does not need to unscrew the hinges to remove the door. Just pull the pins that holds the two halves of the hinges together.
This DIY lesson is free. The next one will cost you

And LJ, tell Miss Kelly that when Tati reaches 21-22yo the "drama" will all but disappear and they will become best friends.

But that reqires knowledge of two tools hammer and punch. Whereas unscrewing it only requires one. (Putting it back together may be easier but that requires another tool: forethought.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

..and it only works on hinges of that particular design.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I feel you jim.... :)

we have quite the hardheaded 13 yr old around here ourselves. guin and I have talked a bit and she has given me some good advice. simple but not easy.

she can put this hard look on her face when she doesn t get the outcome she deems proper, and she walks up the stairs and turns and glances at you with that face just as passes out of sight.... man, it s like the Dragonfear from the Hobbit sets in..... its scary.

I try not to get angry, with limited success, and try to do a good job of keeping holly from going all 13 yr old herself so that I don t have two of them in the house with me.

I try , and holly tries , to handle it with humour.

when she puts on that long hard face now, I call her Medusa and freeze in horror, in whatever position I happen to be in. sometimes I even try to simulate the siren song.

she s gotten a bit better about it....

but, after some struggles in sixth grade , she got her crap together last year in 7th, it started slow but she made honor roll in the last marking period, and kept herself in all her accelerated classes. she seems determined to be a successful student this year. we talk about the importance of school to her future and she seems to have gotten the fact that she controls her own future to a great extent, so that is good.

sounds like you were lucky enough, as was I, to get a daughter just like you.

poor us. :)
