I don't think we are a nation of idiots. I think the average joe/josephine is too busy trying to scrape out a living that he/she is only 25% aware of what is going on. She/He is has been lied to so many times and feels forgotten by the whole system, dems, repubs, liberals and conservatives alike. His/Her vote has been disregarded for years, it's no wonder a Trump and/or Sanders are doing however well they are doing. I know I am disillusioned and frustrated with what is happening. When it costs over a billion dollars to run a campaign, the system is broken.
