I don't know, I think the US would be a much worse place without New Orleans. Great food, great music and venues, and an attitude of not caring what anyone else thinks are sme of its best attributes; it holds its own against a lot of cities worldwide IMHO.

I can go along with that. I love much of the music that comes out of NOL. But its worst attribute is thinking that the rest of the world should protect them from the inevitable consequences of putting the city at the end of the river system draining central North America, and putting it below sea level.

History shows the only way to deal with communist is to kill them before they kill you. When they come to power they kill their enemies for the crime of being ideology impure. Even the Vietnamese communist did it.
