Yeah, I guess they are pretty common, but then I'm a guy who grew up in Brooklyn. I saw a lot more rats and pigeons than chickens (and the chickens O usually saw were cleaned in the butcher's display case or in cages waiting to be dispatched on order of a customer (we never ordered this way, but I recall the store).
