Yes, once she was diagnosed, she didn't seem to want to fight it. I think she missed Doug that much. I got the impression that she left some money for a friend to care for her cats. She sold her beloved Mercury Sable wagon to Denniz years earlier, and bought a Cadillac CTS. It was not the car he was killed in.
A friend of Doc's, one of only two B-29 bombers still flying.

IIRC Denniz sold (or gave?) the wagon back to Tess at some point, and she used it occasionally when she needed to carry a larger load...until the day she lent it to a friend, who totaled it.
