I have exactly the opposite feeling; having to sit and wait for the single attendant on 5 or 6 islands come to do something i could have already finished just annoys me; I'd much rather pump, pay, and go. Indeed, probably half the time I go and remove the hose from the tank and put it back on the pump just to get out of there. None of this is rocket science, it's not hard to do; and long gone are the days of the guys checking your oil or washing the windows. FWIW I've been to some 24 hour stations in other states that have stations open 24 hours without attendants--just swipe the card and go--it makes it a lot more convenient as most stations near me close at around 9 or 10; as someone who drives a lot later, this convenince is valuable to me.

It's not a gigantic issue i would base the a vote on, but it is something I would be happy to see go.
