Thank you, rubie. That was an interesting, entertaining, and thought provoking video.

I will acknowledge that many on the Right exhibit a neurotic refusal to accept the science of anthropogenic global warming.

Would you acknowledge that many on the Left have an irrational fear of the minimal dangers of nuclear power, and the relatively mundane issue of spent fuel storage? Or that they are obsessively and destructively opposed to any attempt to discover or exploit fossil fuels, most poignantly natural gas (which has a rather exemplary CO2 signature)? Or that they frequently seek to curtail economic development in the interest of pretending to save or protect various species of weeds and vermin?

Will you acknowledge that many on the Left have, for generations, promoted the utterly specious idea that third-world hunger can be alleviated by passing out free condoms and BC pills?

I can live with real science, can you?

P.S. I am personally opposed to the U.S. government seeking to curtail CO2 emissions, not because I dispute "global warming" (which is merely physics), but because (1) the U.S. curtailing its own emissions (for reasons other than efficient use of resources) is both self-injurious and meaningless, given the activities in China and India, and the inevitable development of Africa, and (2) the political movement to reduce our carbon footprint is a smokescreen for a movement to gain greater government control over private means of production (creeping socialism/facsism).
