I do have a couple of recurring type dreams.

Often I'm in a big house with weird bathrooms, the toilets are always dirty.

Going to work naked!!

And a doorway into a tunnel that gets smaller and smaller as I go down it.

In times of stress I dream that my teeth are falling out.

None of these dreams are in my fun dream category and I try to wake myself out of them when I become aware of them.

My dream last night (12/2) was to follow a beautiful woman through San Francisco airport. I was to report all her movements to my contact via radio. I lost her when light up a cigar. No resolution.

Sometimes a cigar is only a cigar.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I've never smoked in a dream I have gotten plastered drunk though. That never occurred until I quit drinking.

"Dreams are the eraser dust I blow off my page.
They fade into the emptiness, another dark gray day.
Dreams are only memories of the plans I had back then.
Dreams are eraser dust and now I use pen."

I love this one:

“Dream tonight of peacock tails,
Diamond fields and spouter whales.
Ills are many, blessings few,
But dreams tonight will shelter you.

Let the vampire's creaking wing
Hide the stars while banshees sing;
Let the ghouls gorge all night long;
Dreams will keep you safe and strong.

Skeletons with poison teeth,
Risen from the world beneath,
Ogre, troll, and loup-garou,
Bloody wraith who looks like you,

Shadow on the window shade,
Harpies in a midnight raid,
Goblins seeking tender prey,
Dreams will chase them all away.

Dreams are like a magic cloak
Woven by the fairy folk,
Covering from top to toe,
Keeping you from winds and woe.

And should the Angel come this night
To fetch your soul away from light,
Cross yourself, and face the wall:
Dreams will help you not at all.”

― Thomas Pynchon

I can't even begin to respond properly to this question...

There are time I have Cecil B Demille Extravaganza type dreams...

There are other times I have "selected shorts" type dreams...

There are times I find myself dealing with my parents, (who passed away in the 90s)...

Sometimes, my dreams are set in the future...

And other times, they're set in the past...

Sometimes it's like Guns Of Navarone, and other times it's like SG-1....

Sometime's they're exciting, and sometimes they're boring....

It really is a mixed bag for me...

I can't say, "my dreams are like this, or my dreams are like that"....because they're really all over the map...

ETA:

And then there's what I think is the "alien abduction dream"...

The dream where I got out of bed, because I thought I heard sounds downstairs, and I got up to deal with it, and I would swear to this day that there were people down in our kitchen... :?

Lady Kelly never checks this place out...

She considers my participation in these forums to be basically a bad habit that she puts up with, (much in the way that I put up with the fact that she likes the Real Housewives shows)

My husband is of a similar opinion with forum participation. He has a model rocket habit and a fly tying habit that I don't think much of. Tis the way of marriage.

Did I actiually dream the dream I was writing about in the dream?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I rarely remember my dreams for more than the few minutes it takes me to get vertical in the morning.

The exception is the travel dream...I'm someplace (never remember where), and I remember that I've got to get to the airport in less than an hour. I'm not packed, I can't find the tickets or passport, and I'm an hour and a half from the airport.

I used to launch model rockets (back when there was space here on LI to do that sort of thing).
Had one that had a camera (still picture) that I got developed way back in the 1970's. Showed a kinda satellite photo of the area. I am guessing now-a-days one could put a small video camera in a model rocket. Back then the big model rocket manufs were Estes and Century.

Fly tying I find troublesome. The damn things never sit still long enough. :nana

Sounds like maybe you have some unresolved, uh, issues with your co-workers.... 8-)

I think that's kind of an "anxiety" dream, where you're thinking about something you need to get up and do, or you're stressing over something you need to get done...

I have similar dreams occasionally, where I'm back in College and either late for a class or don't have a major project done, or I'm back working at one of my old jobs and I'm late for work....

He has the camera/video rocket thing. Indiana has lots of flat for launching but the drought brought me a summer of no rockets. I prefer tie flying. ;)
