What subject did I change? I was pointing out the hipocracy of the attendees. Where did I avoid that subject? It is merely a way for you to change the subject and avoid it completely.
was my apology "avoiding the subject"?
Do you claim that I am avoiding because I believe those attending are being hipocrits but you do not?
Spewing unthinking nonsense, you mean.
Great way to make yourself look "right". Calling anyone with an opinion other than yours names/stupid/unthinking.Your criticisms are maundering. Thought-free.

They are only being 'hypocrits' if they are saying no one should use private airplanes but they are using them. But why would they say that when no one has shown that changing use of private aircraft will have a meaningful effect? What if the best and most efficient things we need to do can exist along with use of private planes? You are making a bullshit criticism and avoiding the real problem. If they are moral people they will seek to understand what their personal obligation is and fulfill it. As world leaders it is their job to identify where we all need to make changes and direct political and practical resources to that end.
I do not view the changes we need to make to reduce global climate change as sacrifices; I view them as changes in our behavior and use of technology. Some might be uncomfortable but perhaps not; we cut water use during the Calif. drought to less than 1/2 of our allotment by relatively painless methods.
According to you, no one can attend a conference on combatting obesity if they are overweight or they are hypocrits and you will ignore the substance.
You're just looking for an excuse to turn your brain off and ignore the subject and latched on to a common but inept one.

Not a very good analogy. If they attended a conference on combatting obesity and ate "obesely" while restricting the diet of everyone else, then I would call them hipocrits. If they attended the conference, ate leanly and came up with gudelines then they would not be acting hipocritical.According to you, no one can attend a conference on combatting obesity if they are overweight
Attending the conference is not the problem.
Your faith in their morality is admirable. If they are moral people they will seek to understand what their personal obligation is and fulfill it.
I have no such faith and have nto seen many (if any) lead by example, only by fiat.

Oh, please. Stop being such a total idiot. Part of solving our problems will involve people meeting at different places on the earth. To do that they have to travel there by some reasonably time-efficient method.
According to you, they are being hypocrites unless they travel by sailing ship or row boat.
We need to focus on fixing the problem not stupid bullshit pseudo hypocrisy. If fixing the problem means reducing private jet travel then the answer to that is regulation which will have the overall effect of reducing private jet travel; not applying a uniquely different standard of behavior as a means of distracting attention from the real problem.
