He may or may not be an idiot, but he's not oblivious: he obviously uses his mirrors to continuously keep his eyes on the traffic around him, including traffic approaching from behind. (But yeah...using this approach to respond to an asshole who's tailgating you is probably not the best idea; eventually you'll wind up doing it to an asshole with a gun.)
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

The opposite side of that same coin is that the guy who *IS* tailgating the lead vehicle might be tailgating an asshole with a gun ....Econoline wrote:He may or may not be an idiot, but he's not oblivious: he obviously uses his mirrors to continuously keep his eyes on the traffic around him, including traffic approaching from behind. aaannnd with Econoline having introduced the possibility (and in some parts of the country, the damned-near certainty) of a case of frustration on the road escalating into full-on road rage and drive-by shootings, I feel that this topic has been played out on whatever merits it might have had.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
