Not a good thing as it damages the wicket.

Oh, and having watched women's matches on TV, you wouldn't get me paying good money to see them live.
Mea culpa.

Guess where I will be spending Tuesday evening?

And now Women's Hockey...

I bet perceptions would change if they got serious about a women's Bikini Cricket League. A sticky wicket would be the least of their troubles.

I wonder, Meade, if you have any insight into how relentlessly negative, judgmental, and faux-superior your posting has become, since being in South Africa.

As for the Bruins, I never have and never will pay for tickets to see professional hockey. I would however pay plenty to see the women's national team. I paid just this weekend to see Cornell hockey in the NCAA tournament (and drove to Manchester, NH, and went out after the game). Too bad the women don't get the same exposure, because I would go see them first.
owww fuck off. Women's hockey is even more stupid than women's boxing based on the number of people involved. Fuggetaboutit.

The English team finished 4th in New Zealand at the World Championships, behind Korea (3rd), New Zealand (2nd) and champions, The Netherlands. At least they weren't bottom. The play was quite good in the early games but in the last two, it was a tale of defences more than spirited forward play.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Okay, now that looks like a field hockey team...

Whole nuther kettle of fish from ice hockey...

I wouldn't pay money to watch a field hockey match, no matter what the gender of the players...

But as I've said before, I've been very impressed with the quality of play in the women's ice hockey competition in the past couple of Olympics; the speed, aggressiveness, and co-ordination of play seems very comparable to the men's competitions...

I'd have no problem shelling out a few bucks to watch the women's US national ice hockey team play...
