so you have replied WHY?

No he "reports directly" to Timothy G.

As in; "Here are the car parts you ordered Mr Geithner, shall I carry them to the car for you?"

Actually, 'reports directly' was the structure proposed by one 'Joe Guy'. The fact that you repeat it just shows what happens when you listen to idiots.

I do however direct report to the CTO. Reality vs fantasy.

and the saddest part about your existence is, due to presidential appointment and congressional confirmation: he *is* my boss. yet you find that to be a perjorative. which is why....you're there.
Most examples of quad's claim to be working directly for Timmy are at the CSB. The above is just a recent example posted here on 9/3/11.

Most people, ooops sorry, adults realize that 'working for' the owner or CEO of a company does indeed make them your boss.

'Direct Report' is your claim. As I stated, I only direct report to the CTO.

So you are lying. But I have come to expect that. and I will gleefully clap when we learn that one of the 'kids' you work with and are 'best friends with' comes forward with sordid tales. Payback, karma et al, are bitches.

How predictable of a response was that?

I was tempted to predict that response from you, quad-liar, but decided it would be much more fun for others to read if written by you.

(thanks again for being so predictable)

Why didn't you claim Barack Obama is your boss, since he is the "CEO" of the U.S. federal government for which you claim to work.

In quad-liar's world, anyone who works for Microsoft has Bill Gates for a boss... etc.

Hmmm.... I wonder why anybody would make a claim like that?

Could it be that someone might be trying to make himself look more important than the insignificant little computer tech that he actually is?

No way!! quad wouldn't do a thing like that!

I give this quad-explanation a "9" on a 1 to 10 scale (10 being the most completely fucking stupid possible explanation). The quadster has almost outdone himself.

(***as quad-liar just stated for the first time in years - apparently trying to rewrite history)

that being said,

nice deflection from the REAL issue, so lets revisit:

You still, accomplish nothing in life, other than sponging off your parents, yet attempt to pass judgment on others (but lack the basic skills to get even the simplest of facts right)

And you still, creepily, hang out with adolescent teens and 'befriend them. As a parent I am appalled. Maybe in some buttheaded way it was amusing that you could buy them beer when you were 21, but over a decade later?

Your fall from that illusionary 'grace' you occupy will be public, messy, and WELL WELL quoted on the internet. We wait eagerly.

Yet another lie.

quad now lies because the old CSB is no longer available to link to his past lying statements and he believes that somehow supports his false statements.

But anyone who has paid attention knows the truth.

Poor quad.

Outed for being a liar, he resorts to making up immature and silly stories about the person who exposed him for what he is.

He is someone who wants others to believe that he is a person who is not as insignificant as he actually is.

Thanks for being so entertaining, quad.

But you really need to work on your stories.

You appear to be very stupid. Even more than I once believed.

Did ya get yer brakes fixed?

BTW there are some points, especially on disc brakes that require lubrication.

Most DIYers either don't lube them or they just shower them WD40, wonderful product but never designed for this.

If you take it to a shop add the couple extra bucks for premium pads and make sure they turn the rotors, cross hatching the surface will help prevent glazing and squeaking when the vehicle is slowing...

I haven't gone yet. I made an appointment, but court appearances came up that kept me from keeping it, so I'll need to reschedule.

Last time I got ceramic pads and they lasted about 2.5 years before the squeaking started. I was planning to do that again.

I have another question now, if you auto-mechanically-inclined folks will indulge (consider yourselves Plan B's own 'Click & Clack').

For about a year I've been losing power steering fluid. Real slow leak, doesn't really leave a puddle. I tried 'stop leak' additive, but it didn't work, at least the first time. I just put more in this weekend.

My neighbor says it's some doo-hickey between the two front wheels and costs about $500 to replace. True and accurate?

I like not sounding totally clueless when I go to the shop; I think it keeps me from getting totally screwed.

PS - this is a Toyota Rav4 with 128k miles and just about no rust; I spend less than $400/yr. to insure it and plan to run it into the ground before I replace it. I HATE car payments and worrying about a shiny car! So I feel if I spend less than $1k/yr on maintenance/repair, I'm doing great. :D

Power steering pump.

If your steering is OK, I'd just keep adding fluid.

Like Dales, just keep an eye on your fluid level.

If it's not an obvious leak it's just an egg hunt...

Its a "rack" and be careful how your phrase it.

that would be between the front wheels. the pump would be bolted to the engine. If it is leaking, it has to be leaving ick somewhere. It is not connected in any way to any system that could allow it to be injested. so something is wet. you just aint found it yet.

If it drips on the exhaust, it will eventually catch fire.

Ok, neighbor said rack and when he looked under the car he could see some wetness on it.

It's a very slow leak, as I have only had to add fluid 3x in a year and only a few ounces each time. Only once (the first time) was it even noticeable (barely) in the steering.

Being the rack, is it safe still to 'ignore', other than adding fluid occasionally? Obviously fluid 3x/yr. for 3-5 more years is way cheaper than a fix.
