I would think one of you would be able to cruise right in and take this one . . .

No to all of the guesses, but I liked RT's thinking. Here is one that should give it away to anyone who has seen it:
E: I want something great. I want something that nobody's ever done before!
S: Why? We ain't great. We're just some guys from Jersey.

Is it just me or does the one with the bushy eyebrows and sideburns just above Papa Smurf look more like a Nac Mac Feegle who crashed the party?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I'm pretty sure it's:
Eddie & The Cruisers
I had such a crush on Michael Pare when this movie released; hard to believe that was me . . .

Maybe that was the dark side call'n now
Ain't nothin' gonna save you from the love that's blind
Slip to the dark side and cross that line
On the dark side, oh yeah
On the dark side, oh yeah

"Eddie and the Cruisers" (A euphemism for the times.)
I get wistful with my loose association: Somers Point, Tony Mart, Bayshores, Dunes Til Dawn. And then back to Margate's Barbary Coast to reload. Sex, Drugs, and Rock N' Roll. And "Light My Fire" is now 50 years old.
I can hardly remember all the good times I think I had way back when. Sigh!

My turn is up for grabs, I'm not feeling inspired.

Thanks, BSG.
This is the most uncomfortable coffin I've ever been in. Your selection is quite shoddy. You are wasting my time.
Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

-- What's that?
-- Sushi.
-- Sushi?
-- Rice, raw fish, and seaweed.
-- You won't accept a guy's tongue in your mouth, and you're going to eat that?

No guesses yet? Ok, another quote:
-- You have problems.
-- Oh, I have problems?
-- You do everything everyone tells you to do and that is a problem.
-- Okay, fine, but I didn't dump my purse out on the couch and invite everyone into my problems.
