Oh, K. He doesn't hate you. He wants to make you just like him. Blind to humanity as I once was. Only then can you take your place beside him as part of his family. Cold and hard and perfect.

Never saw the movie, but I am curious about the weapon proudly displayed above. Is it some kind of nerf gun? It looks like the multiple transparent tubes are filled with bits of foam or perhaps sugar cubes?

Name That Movie!
That's a Tippmann SMG-60 paint ball gun mocked-up as a fictional four-barreled rotary firearm.Burning Petard wrote:Never saw the movie, but I am curious about the weapon proudly displayed above. Kubo and the Two Strings
Charlize Theron, Ralph Fiennes and George Takei provided character voices...
An animated movie that's good for kids (especially young boys) that doesn't completely insult your intelligence...

Name That Movie!
I think I got this:Lord Jim wrote:I'll post a new one later today.

Re: Name That Movie!
High marks for your eagerness, Ray...
This is a shlockey 50s Sci-Fi movie, with no big stars, but probably one of the better known ones for anyone who likes the genre...
It's probably been shown at one time or another on every local late night horror/sci-fi movie hosted show...(I remember seeing it back in the 70's on Count Gore Devol in DC, then just a few years ago on Elvira's revived syndicated Movie Macabre, and just a few weeks ago on the Bay Area revived Creature Features...I'm sure those who grew up around here will remember the original incarnation of that show, hosted by Bob Wilkins )
Since this may not be the easiest to guess, I plan to be fairly liberal with quotes and non-quote clues. Here are the first quotes (with the character names left in):

Captain: Morrow! Go below and bring up the young gargon specimen. Now the decision depends on its reactions.
Derek: Wait, Captain. I have found evidence of intelligent beings on this planet!
Derek: Betty, when you learn where I'm from, well... you will not understand but, I hope it will not make any difference between us because...
Betty Morgan: I Dont care where your from. I don't understand all this, but somehow I feel that I've always known you. That we've never been apart!

PLEASE, Please, please...Name That Movie! PLEASE.
Could your hint be this obvious? I think you're trying to throw me a red herring.Lord Jim wrote:... Captain: Morrow! Go below and bring up the young gargon (sic) specimen. Now the decision depends on its reactions...
