It would be interesting to know if there is any time limit on filing complaints. I know there isn't for accountants up here, as I have heard of people getting hauled up on ethics violations that were over 10 years old. I can imagine that it would be the same for lawyers; since everything relevant to the case should be documented in the client's file, the passage of time should not prejudice the ability to mount a defence to the charges.

Cool, way cool. It's interesting to have learned so much from this.
Really, I just thought it was funny, and this is enlightening;
In reading the Op I didn't realise it was intended as a humorous anecdote, and agreed with the sentiments of the workmates who said 'serve you right'.
I've told this story personally to my roommate and of course, a few co-workers, while the 'Serves you right' comment was given humorously with a grin. He and you plural, were right, I shouldn't have stole, but there's an understanding in the underclass, that you do what you have to do, in order to survive. Sometimes, that means being able to rely on another.
The guy making that comment is our age and living with his parents, but he gives rides to fellow employees whenever possible because his strength is wheels, and he's happy to share'em.

Quite so, how would you rate criticising one for borrowing and re-paying back money? (To those who wanted to be repaid?)

As stated, the humor is in the context;

Earlier this week, the High School down the street was put under 'lockdown' due to a firearm being found on a student. This was lunchtime, and the local news choppers were including our warehouse in thier field of footage[FYI KTVU]; so the crew and I dared each other to grab a long pipe 'rifle-style' and run around the parking lot, to get thier attention [whilst not being knocked down by SWAT].
Also amongst the mockery, was where we would all 'duck and cover' when/if the gunman started firing. :shrug

When considering the theme of this thread, and if you don't mind me saying, that action doesn't sound like it is a particular smart action, karma-wise.
Bah!

It does sound like a potential Darwin Award winner though...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

It's the hard hats. Can't be helped.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
