Police are hunting an arsonist who caught alight as he attempted to set fire to a parked van.
Detectives in Rochdale, Greater Manchester are hunting the man who was caught on CCTV pouring flammable liquid onto the grill of a recovery truck before lighting it.
The fire spread from the vehicle to a nearby family home, causing damage to the front door and windows of the property.
Unfortunately as well as setting fire to the vehicle the man’s arm also bursts into flames and he can be seen desperately trying to douse the fire as he runs away.
The offender was then spotted getting into a light coloured Nissan Micra parked near before it was driven away by another man.
