Yeah, but how many pairs of houses did he destroy before he got it right?
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Points off for still destroying parts of the deck.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Points restored since that is the absolute lowest cost point he could drop that tree into.Crackpot wrote:Points off for still destroying parts of the deck.

you mean he couldn't take the time to disassemble the deck saving the lumber for reuse? Not to mention the danger involved in adding the extraneous shrapnel into the equation.

Re: I'm a Lumberjack and I'm Okay!!
I had an enormous oak tree taken down over the summer (carpenter ants had redered it "unsafe"). It was right next to the fence that separates my property from my neighbors driveway and much of the tree over hung his house. Those guys were incredible. Not one branch or the trunk landed in the incorrect spot. They stacked the wood and cleaned up both properties (sawdust, leaves, twigs, etc) I tipped them an extra $100.
I saved a couple of large pieces of trunk so make tables out of. The rest of the wood I gave to my brother and my neighbors who have fireplaces.
