Pig gets senorita’s goat yes it should be signorina
AN ITALIAN woman is suing the British makers of the popular children’s cartoon Peppa Pig, claiming she was damaged by an episode featuring a baby goat character with her name.
Gabriella Capra is asking for à100 000 (about R1.4-million) in compensation after tiring of being constantly derided in association with the show, according to the consumers’ group representing her.
In the problematic episode, Peppa befriends a character called Gabriella Goat. The Italian word for goat is “capra”. The real Gabriella Capra is a 40-year-old businesswoman.
Her representative, the National Foundation of Consumers, confirmed the legal action, saying Italian law provides protection for baptismal or family names. Peppa Pig’s producers should be held civilly responsible for not protecting the privacy or good name of Capra, “who holds a serious job” and “finds herself innocently exposed to public hilarity”, they said. — © The Daily Telegraph

Capracious lawsuit
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
