Roger Ebert - Life Itself

Post by BoSoxGal »

Heard a piece about this documentary on NPR this morning, it sounds like a must-see, and it's airing on CNN Sunday:

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

These guys destroyed popular film criticism with their (highly entertaining) 'live or die' sound bite methods. I loved their show - hated to admit it. Both of them were much better in their respective newspaper columns where nuance and knowledge played a part. What a pity that Pauline Kael (one of Ebert's idols) had to go on to the big movie theatre in the sky. I expect this documentary is worth a view indeed

:ok
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
