I was in a bad mood today. Too much politicians and talking heads making no sense, and some personal stumbles in life along with it. So I looked around for a mind-numbing, escapist movie. For this purpose what could be better than the latest Disney animation?
Wrong. It is one long fable on racial discrimination. But it was not a total waste of my time and money. And I did not pay the premium to see the 3-D version. As those things go, it was pretty good. For my taste, Up! was better, but that is just my personal taste. It did include near the very end a very nice (and short, or just long enough) car chase scene.
But the credits at the end!?! I think if the epic Exodus had included in the credits the name of every single extra, they would have been no longer. I noted there were not credits for whoever ran the food truck, but 'Caffeination' was listed. Linux engineer got 4 or five names, Mac engineer got one, none for Microsoft engineer. Even Disney corporation executives were listed. Zoo keepers and park rangers and police departments were listed. Way too much. But the credits were all in big type and scrolled slowly so I could read most of it.
In spite of my complaints, I left in a better mood.

In that particular scene, the nice clerk they were working with is called 'Flash' because he is faster than the others.
