Construction worker climbs to top of Vancouver’s Trump Tower and hangs Mexican flag

Diego Saul Reyna, a steel framer who lives in Port Moody, B.C., climbed to the top of the Trump hotel and tower in Vancouver this weekend to send Donald Trump a message.

He first took the elevator to the 20th floor of the building, which is still under construction. Wearing a hard hat and steel-toed boots, he climbed the stairs the rest of the way to the top of the 63-storey project to hang a Mexican flag in the bright sunshine of Saturday morning.

“I was a bit hesitant,” said Reyna. “But then I figured, ‘Oh well, I am willing to face the consequences if I can send a message.’ My intention was to show Donald Trump that (Mexican workers) work for him, but he also benefits from us.”

The flag has been removed, but Reyna snapped a photo of himself in front of it for Facebook, where it has been shared over 700 times.

His post read:

From the “concrete pouring, finishing, drywall, taping, wood forming and general labour, Mexicans were there, building it. The comments Trump has made about us, did not stop us from doing the high quality work we have always done, in our home country or when we migrate to US/Canada,

“MR Trump, we did our best work, your tower here in Vancouver is premium quality, and we were a crucial part of it, not just Mexicans but immigrants as a whole.”

Good for Him ,have solution ,annex Mexico ,Meso America ,everybody will be legal citizens then ,looks like Mexico is going to take back the Southwest anyhow ,the Mexicans do excellent work and they have a very good work ethic.(Keep up the good work Diego ) Mr Trump is standing on a stump within the republican party trying to win the nomination and probably doesnt mean everything He sez.
