we don t want your fucking service economy...

Post by wesw »

... we want to build things, we want to make things, we want to grow things, we want to catch things...

archer-daniels midlands controls the land. ADM controls the land. the few small farmers that remain? most of them are puppets for ADM...

we have imported people to do the construction jobs (quality has suffered greatly. master craftsman have not passed on their trades)

we have exported manufacturing.

did we educate our own to fill the professions?

no, we imported horrible paki and African doctors ( the indian docs are great! I d even take Cuban doctors!!!)

we imported nurses too, (the foreign ones suck, from my experience....)

we can t even start our own small businesses, the regulations are repressive...

we don t want to pour your coffee, we don t want to book your fucking cruises where everyone gets sick anyway.

we want to build things , we want to grow things, we want to make things, we want to catch things... (fuck the foreign trawlers!!!)

we don t want your kisses before you fuck us!!!!

the ELITE have become burdensome.

Frankly, wes, if you are an example of the average American worker today who wants to "build things", we'd be much better off going Somali and becoming pirates on the high seas.
I wouldn't trust someone like you to even adjust the spokes on my bicycle.  Although I don't have to worry — that undoubtedly would fall into your version of a "service economy".

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

and I gauranfuckingtee you that MOMA and dover air force base will not fall down.

I have built museums and universities and military installations that would make your head spin. I gauranfuckingtee you that the Rockville, MD courthouse will with stand an Oklahoma city style blast.

I was lead fabricator or QC supervisor on these and many other projects.

I am the best fabricator that you will ever have the pleasure of speaking to :D

true, rubato, true....

I could build you a stairway to most places, but trueing a wheel is best left to someone who has learned from a master.

a man has to know his limitations....

though I have jumped on a few bicycle rims in my day, I would be accurately classified as a hack in the wheel trueing field....

I'd have to disagree...

"The best fabricator" would be one who makes up stuff that is at least minimally credible, and could be true, but just doesn't happen to be...

Not wild-assed fantasy shit like , "Trump is going to win 50% of the Black vote"...

Wes isn't a good fabricator; merely an extremely prolific one...

When it comes to fabricating, just like his hero, he goes for quantity not quality...

His confidence in the Trumpster is declining of late. His latest estimate is 30% of the black vote.

Still in cloud cuckoo land, but...

Of course he also says that Trump is going to win Massachusetts. I think the last Republican to do that was Eisenhower...

Actually, Mr. Reagan carried Massachusetts in 1984...

Do I now?

Do I really?

Or are you just incapable of remembering what you say from one day to the next?

I would not call LJ a low info poster and especially not a low info voter. Of all people here, I think he is the most informed in the political arena. Whether one agrees with his political leanings or not, he is certainly informed on all sides of the political spectrum.

I assume wesw, called LJ a 'low info voter', which merely indicates the depth of stupidity that is wesw. LJ is possibly the most politically informed person on earth (slight exaggeration), and certainly around here!
Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

Precisely, rubato.  Which is why I wouldn't let him anywhere within a half-mile of my bike if he had a spoke wrench in his hands.

well, he is posting about my posts without reading them, using only partial quotes and excerpts to form his opinion....

that s low info posting, no?

and he is not listening to any of trumps actual rallies or speeches, or my analysis of them for that matter, and is only getting distorted views thru dishonest characterizations by the media. he is getting his opinion informed by partial quotes and excerpts that do not present an accurate view.

low info.

your assessment of jim s political acumen is correct, or it was correct...., until this cycle.

he has stuck his fingers in his ears.

he is not alone.

and BB, if you had read my following post you would know that I admitted to not being qualified to true a wheel and that I conceded that trueing a wheel, well, is work for a master bike mechanic.....

give me some steel and I could build you a strong frame tho....

building jigs and welding in such a manner so that precise work did not warp was one of my many my fortes in the steel shop....

...and if it did warp..., I could fix it

...and scooter, black jobs matter! vote trump!!!!

oh..., that s right, you don t matter. your opinion means nuts!

that kills you doesn t it? eats your heart out that you aren t special, doesn t it?

go to your little safe space in canadia....

I m sure that there is a nice lumberjack out there just waiting for you to find him....

head to the wilds, man!!!!

....the wolves don t bite..., honest....

FAIL!!
Yet again, wes proves that life is capable of existing with the most minimal of brains.  Anyone who knows anything about quality steel-framed bicycles knows that the best hand-built frames are more-or-less soldered together, not welded, using a relatively low-temp technique known as lugging and brazing — as opposed to basically melting the ends of the tubes with a welding torch and smooshing them into each other.

Your old Schwinn Varsity was welded together using gas-pipe-quality tubing (and its weight, even though it was still lighter than the old balloon-tired "Black Phantoms" of the '50s, certainly proved it).  My 1977 Trek TX-700 frameset was constructed using Reynolds 531 double-butted frame tubing, stays, and fork blades which were lugged and silver-brazed.

Incidentally, I've still got the Trek.  The 'Schwein' has probably been recycled into soup cans by now.
