I have to ask - it's "filthy" only when women do it, but not when men do it?“Dr. John Hagee, the founder and senior pastor of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, not only agrees with what the Good Book says, but also takes the faith to a level of fanaticism. Speaking exclusively with Newslo, Hagee stated that “in this world of crimes and deaths that surround us, a simple blasphemy does not get that much attention when it should.”
“Saying the Lord’s name in vain might seem petite and insignificant compared to some of the things that are going on in the world right now, even in churches all across America,” Hagee elaborated. “But, that’s precisely the problem. If the shepherds of a faith start doing wrong, what is the flock supposed to do? Follow in their footsteps? I don’t think so. The flock needs to get its bearings and start thinking for itself.”
The pastor reprimanded: “But, nowadays you have people committing sin everywhere you look, including Houses of God, which are the holiest of places.”
Asked how the situation could be bettered, Hagee replied: “Well, we’d have to start with ourselves, as with everything in life. If you’re asking about my personal opinion, there is no greater sin in terms of wrongly using God’s name than women who use it during sex. That is one of the filthiest, most derogatory and sinful uses of the Lord’s name I can think of. If it were up to me, I would put every single woman or girl who does that in jail. That would be a fine example of God’s wrath aimed at what is, in my opinion, a terrible misuse of our Maker’s good name.”

Let's bring a little bit of Saudi Arabia to the U.S., sounds like a peachy idea:

Re: The blasphemy police will soon be at your bedroom door
What an odd-ball! How on earth does he know that women and girls (?) are even doing this terrible thing? One supposes it must be from watching movies. (Shame).
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: The blasphemy police will soon be at your bedroom door
And something else I have to ask, how does he know that they are taking the Lord's name in vain and are not, in fact, giving praise and thanks to the Almighty for the miracle of that wondrous orgasm which God designed and made possible?

Religion hates women.

This seemed so off-the-wall that my hoax meter immediately started clanging....
Apparently this ain't so:

A check of Newslo.com revealed (among other things) a "news story" with the headline:

Apparently this ain't so:

Claim: John Hagee, founder of the Cornerstone Church, wants to prosecute women for saying God's name during intercourse.
FALSE
Origins: On 15 June 2015, the entertainment web site Newslo published an article reporting that John Hagee, founder of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, has called for the prosecution of women who utter the Lord's name during sexual intercourse:
Articles on Newslo typically include a mixture of truth and fiction. In fact, at the top of the article entitled "John Hagee Calls for Prosecuting Women Who Say God’s Name During Intercourse” are two buttons allowing readers to highlight the portions of text that include facts:Dr. John Hagee, the founder and senior pastor of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, not only agrees with what the Good Book says, but also takes the faith to a level of fanaticism. Speaking exclusively with Newslo, Hagee stated that “in this world of crimes and deaths that surround us, a simple blasphemy does not get that much attention when it should."

When the "Show Facts" button is pressed on this Newslo article, the portions of text referring to the taking of the Lord’s name in vain and the Ten Commandments are highlighted, while the above-displayed quote from John Hagee was not.
In addition to the "Show Facts / Hide Facts" buttons, Newslo also bears a disclaimer warning readers about the fictitious information included in several of its articles:
Newslo is the first hybrid News/Satire platform on the web. Readers come to us for a unique brand of entertainment and information that is enhanced by features like our fact-button, which allows readers to find what is fact and what is satire.

Oh well, my stupid. Whoever does these is good at fooling people, because if you've ever heard him, it sounds like something he would say.
Now that one by Rubio even I managed to figure out to be a joke.

That's what makes for effective satire...it sounds like something he would say.

Don't feel bad. Take comfort in the old fabrication that size doesn't matter.

Re: The blasphemy police will soon be at your bedroom door
I guess I will have to add Newslo to my bookmark list. I have lost track of how many times a story in The Onion has been picked up by mainstream news as real.
Re: The blasphemy police will soon be at your bedroom door
That's a very frequent and typical reaction to a wesw post Bill...Not sure what you mean by that, and I'm not too sure I want to know.
In fact it's probably only second to "I can't believe anybody would actually say that" on the list reactions one has when reading one of his posts...
