Bet your bottom dollar you lose the blues in Chicago,

Post by Gob »

CHICAGO (CBS) — The three-day Christmas weekend in Chicago has already become more violent than it was during the entire holiday weekend last year.

Eleven men were killed and at least 32 others have been wounded in shootings across the city since Friday evening, according to Chicago Police.

Last year, a total of 30 people were shot in Chicago over the four-day holiday weekend, leaving six dead.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Could it be the health and life insurance premiums are a big part of the high cost of living in the Windy City?

Could it be they've had a year for target practice, and are better shots now?

Is there really a problem? The other night on Tavis Smiley, on PBS, he was interviewing a black female writer I suppose; writer that is, it was obvious she is black and female and form the tone of her comments, liberal. It was her opinion that “stop and frisk” was racial profiling. To her it didn‘t matter that the program was motivated by an attempt to save black lives. I suppose to her there is no crime problem in the black inner-city community that needs to be fixed. Her idea to reduce crime was to establish background checks for firearm purchases which in my opinion would do little to nothing to reduced the homicide rate in the these communities.

So if Trump plans to try improve the quality of life in these communities by reducing homicides perhaps he should try to determine what the people want and are willing to support. He could do this by having his people contact leaders in the communities and set up town hall meeting to discuss what needs to be done. If nothing needs to be done then move on to communities that do need help. Don‘t waste resources where people don’t wanted it.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.
