Thanks, I caught that yesterday, fabulous response to the bile of the rabid reactionary religious right.

To love god is to hate sin. But, it is easy to say and hard to do. Sin is easy and quite often enjoyable; like when the next door neighbor's wife was playing with my leg under the table. When I told my friend about it he thought I was crazy for not going for it, but I am proud I didn’t . I have committed my share of sin, but sex with married women is not among them.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

It's interesting to learn, based on your posts here, just which lines you would be willing to cross and which lines you wouldn't.liberty wrote:To love god is to hate sin. And that actually holds true for all of us.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

To the Christian man, married women are sacred.Bicycle Bill wrote:It's interesting to learn, based on your posts here, just which lines you would be willing to cross and which lines you wouldn't.liberty wrote:To love god is to hate sin. the only mistress I had was alcohol (she had many names).
Thankfully, my wife has forgiven my tresspasses.

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

And to an Atheist man, married women are also "sacred."liberty wrote:... To the Christian man, married women are sacred.
However, in the course of my vast dating experience, any woman who told me they were separated -- at that moment or longer -- were just a tad less sacred and I could always find forgiveness in my heart for them. How the woman handled her relationship with another was on her, not me. Never, in all my years, did I pursue a professed married woman.
That's just the way I am.

You have not sinned? And, I am not justifying anything the Word is the standard and I admit I have not always made it, but I don’t think I am alone we all were all young and foolish at one time.Crackpot wrote:Liberty

So what's the excuse when you're no longer young but still foolish?

No, but, by implying that your "Christianity" kept you from that one sin, implies the rest of yours are fine under that standard
