This Is Becoming Repeatedly Repetitive...

Post by Lord Jim »

The Houston Rockets gave it their best shot Monday night, but the absence of Chris Paul, who also was desperately missed in Game 6, doomed this squad. The Warriors hung tough in the first half, absorbing wave after wave of the home team’s offensive momentum and were down by 11 points at halftime. [At one point, they were down by 15]

The second half belonged to Golden State. Stephen Curry came alive. Kevin Durant did, too. The Warriors outscored the Rockets 33-15 in the third quarter and went on to win by the final score of 101-92.

Now, after three rounds of NBA Playoff action, we’re right back where we started one year ago. And the year before that. And the year before that. The Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are going to the NBA Finals, for the fourth consecutive season.

Social media had some great reactions to this result, which we should have all seen coming (even though the Boston Celtics and Rockets tricked us into believing something else was possible). [Both the Warriors and the Cavs came back from 3-2 game deficits to win their respective semi-final series]
You can see some of that social media reaction here:
