Same as it ever was. There were plenty of things that most of our generation did not know how to use that were second nature to our parents/grandparents: anything to do with a horse or farm, igniting a stove without a pilot light, and for most, carpentry and other trades. Plus, half of the older people who used that older technology from the meme will have forgotten how to use them by now (and it doesn't really matter since you pretty much have to go to a museum to see those relics).
