Yes it was brilliant - I especially loved the NPR skewering in the opening sequence.

I hope that Parker and Stone are planning to go hard on Trump all season - at very least it seems we will see 49 more shorts skewering him, if the good folks of South Park adhere to the settlement.

Have you read the news giving the back story on this episode? The creators of South Park are promised $$ Billions (yes with a B) for this stuff. CBS, the peacock tv network, the home of Walter Cronkite, the most trusted man in America when he reported on the US failure in Viet Nam, paid Trump Millions in a law suit that their lawyers said CBS would win and Trump could end up paying all legal expenses. Then they fired Steve Colbert. They did give him one year's' notice, with pay. Now CBS has almost no control over what Mr. Co-bear will say in his opening all next season

The USofA--what a country.

Isn't NBC the owner of the peacock network? I think CBS is Paramount +.

As for Colbert, I seriously doubt Trump was involved in his, there are people who attack Trump much better (like SNL and Jimmy Kimmel) and they are still on the air. My guess is Colbert's contract was up for renewal and CBS didn't want to come up with the $ he wanted (especially after paying the damages), so they are letting him go; the contract may even have required a year's not ice if they weren't going to renew (and if they really wanted him off the air to please pumpkinhead he would be off now, and not be a lame duck host who can say what he wants. I think it's just dollars and cents.

As for South Park, if they are really getting billions they are earning it; they skewer everyone and are entertaining despite the crappiest animation in TV.
