Crossing Brooklyn Ferry

Post by BoSoxGal »

A Facebook link, I will search and find a YouTube one as well.

Popped up in my feed last night and felt like a gift from the universe at a very low time when it was much needed. I wept. I will watch again repeatedly.

It’s too bad we don’t have more opportunities to hear the greatest poetry in recitations of this quality. Ed Norton is artistic genius if nothing else.

Enjoy!

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

That was really great. Whitman lived his final decades in Camden, yet I have never been to his house (now a museum) or his tomb, which have always been within just a few minutes of my own house. (His house is also literally a block away from the courthouse, but I always park on the other side of the complex.) Putting it on my list, maybe this weekend.
GAH!
