I tend to be way too serious in my viewing tastes, favoring documentaries, gritty dramas, true crime, etc.
On a lark I rented Tower Heist this weekend; I'm only halfway through so can't speak to the denouement, but I have already laughed long and hard numerous times, once or twice at risk of peeing my panties.
Terrific cast and and loathesome bad guy to boot; I'd have to say it's well worth the time to view.
