And now for something completely different!

Of all people, Andy H led me to this priceless gem!
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Well, to each his or her own, but from where I'm sittin' Gen'l. you really ain't missin' much...

I watched it twice trying to figure out what other people were finding hysterically funny, and I just don't see it...

Some really silly free word association that sounds like maybe it was written by somebody on acid, and some extremely amateurish graphics and animation....

The first time I watched it, I thought that stuff was just going to be the intro and I kept thinking, "Okay, when does this nonsense stop and the hysterically funny part begin?"

I'm not generally considered to be humor challenged, but man, I sure ain't gettin' this one....

Maybe somebody who's finding this to be thigh slapping hilarity can tell me why....

I found it humorous though I wonder how much of it works on the power of suggestion.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

It's not humor that everyone gets. I think it's actually very clever. It's like the following -

Ahh, mondegreens....

That's what the vid in the OP was supposed to be...a collection of mondegreens....

It works a lot better when you use the original music....(Like the Cocker vid)...or at least the original tune....

"The girl with colitis goes by...."

LJ I think that is the original tune. Wiki says "Orff's setting of the poem has become immensely popular and has been performed by countless classical music ensembles and popular artists"

CP is on to something because when I heard it now on the video while reading their "misheard lyrics" I was convinced the choir was actually singing about tuna and cheese and chicken. But when you listen while looking at the real words, they are indeed singing this:

O Fortuna
velut luna
statu variabilis,
semper crescis
aut decrescis;
vita detestabilis
nunc obdurat
et tunc curat
ludo mentis aciem,
egestatem,
potestatem
dissolvit ut glaciem etc etc etc
