@-W has come up with the suggestion that we have a memorial to our departed friends, (from the other place,) in some way on this forum.
A proposal of mine is that R Brown, Loki, and ROE, have forum subtitles in their memory.
I'm proposing;
"Science and Technology"
Loki
"All our own work"
Running on empty/Manniac
"Laffs"
R Brown (The laughing fat man)
This is just off the top of me head, please make alternative suggestions, for titles or whatever, so we can put them to a poll.
In memory of....
In memory of....

Re: In memory of....
While I really like the idea of a memorial, I feel that the above is somewhat limiting.
For example: Loki was so much more than "Science and Technology". Yes We enjoyed that genre. But he was far more complex than that. He had a very acute sense of humor. Besides being a very nice person when it it came to interacting with people in general. As I have said before; He could tell you to go to Hell in such a way that you would pack your bags and look forward to the trip.
So I would hesitate to pigeon hole my main man. Or relegate any of our fallen hero's to any one aspect.
I feel that while the suggested memorial may lean toward their strong suits? It just doesn't do them justice.
Not sure how to make it right and proper. My 2 cents. I'm open to suggestions. Just saying.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Fair points Timster, let's see what others have to say.
A memorial gallery. perhaps?

I reckon a gallery (or wailing wall) for those of us who like to remember.
(I am one who does.)
It remains that none of these people were members on Plan B when they died, they may not have wanted such a tribute on a Board they hadn 't heard of.

Bah!

Re: In memory of....
Good Point, Hen. I am better with remembering those fine folks in my own mind.
Just like a good book is always better than the movie. However, If the CSB were to close its doors? (And I do not think it will...permanently.) I would not want those memories lost in its new reincarnation...
Just saying.

Well, this place has no lobby nor front page, like CSB did; no place to put a 'memorial link'. Maybe it needs one?
Re: In memory of....
I was not in contact with the others but I think Loki would have loved this place. I don't think he would object to having a tribute here by those who knew and respected him. Perhaps the idea of Hen's for a forum dedecated to "Those who made a difference..............." would be the most sensible idea as I'm certain there will others in the future we may wish to add to that list.
I expect to go straight to hell...........at least I won't have to spend time making new friends.
