Shades of "Saving Grace."

Post by Gob »

An elderly couple have been busted for growing cannabis after unknowingly buying a plant at a car boot sale.

Police who seized the bush in a drugs bust at the couple's Bedford home on Friday and said it was the biggest they had seen. The couple were shocked to find that their carefully tended shrub was in fact a gigantic cannabis plant. They had bought the plant as a shrub at a car boot sale, without realising that is was a cannabis bush.

After the drugs raid Bedfordshire Police took to Twitter to comment their find and posted a photo of the bush growing in what looks like an ordinary suburban garden.

The tweet from Bedford Borough’s local policing team read: 'Seized today. Elderly couple bought shrub at car boot sale, tended carefully-biggest cannabis plant we had seen!!' A spokesman said that the couple had asked the force to remove the image of the plant from the social networking site, and refused to give any further comment on the find. She would not say if the couple would face any charges over the cannabis.

Website howtogrowmarijuna.com stated that despite many cannabis farms being hidden in the rooves of homes, the species actually benefit from natural sunlight in gardens.

Get a room you two. And make sure you are both in the same room.

Reminds me when an older friend had an apartment with some friends and had a plant growing in the living room. His dad came for a visit, notice it and said, "Nice pot".

My mum had a cannabis plant in her front window for a year before finding out what it was...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

She sent me some Xmas family pics a few years back. In the background I noticed this rather familiar leafy plant. Next time I spoke to her:

Me: Where did you get that plant in the bay window?
Her: Your sister gave it to me. Why?
Me: It's cannabis.
Her: (Long pause) The bitch!

AFAIK it's still there...
